More than half a century later, Arkham's asylum is a place of bleak corridors and oppressive shadows - a dark riddle of stone and wood best left unsolved. In its claustrophobic padded cells and unlit dungeons, Batman's mentally disturbed enemies dwell, dreaming of the day when they will rise up and overthrow the world of reason. And that day has finally arrived. It's April 1st, and the madmen have taken over the asylum. The residents of Arkham, led by the Joker, deliver a terrible ultimatum to the man responsible for their imprisonment. Batman must descend into the heart of darkness and face the truth of his own split identity - or condemn himself to share the fate of the patients of Arkham Asylum. Written by Grant Morrison and beautifully illustrated by Dave McKean, the legendary comic title is published in the DC Legends edition, including a wealth of bonus material.
